Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce the subject fuel excellent in handling property and a long term preservation stability, and useful for a thermal power generation by preparing a specific ultra heavy duty oil mixed liquid, obtaining an oil in water type emulsion therefrom, adding a specific stabilizing agent therein and agitating.
SOLUTION: This extra heavy duty oil emulsion fuel of an oil in water type, containing 68-79 wt.% extra heavy duty oil, is obtained by blending (A) a extra heavy duty oil, (B) water, (C) a cationic or an amphoteric surfactant, or in addition to the above (D) a stabilizer so as to contain 74-82 wt.% (A), 0.1-0.8 wt.% (C) and 0.001-0.5 wt.% (D), agitating the mixed liquid at 1,000-60,000/sec shearing force to obtain an oil in water type emulsion fuel, adding (E) an anionic dispersing agent or further water therein to make 0.01-0.5 wt.% final content of (E), and further agitating at 10-10,000/sec shearing force.
