PURPOSE: To obtain an extrusion-molded cured inorganic material coated with an inorganic coating layer having high hardness and weather resistance and durable to cracking and peeling over a long period by applying an inorganic coating layer composed of a cured silicon alkoxide coating material to the surface of an inorganic material interposing a specific primer coating layer.
CONSTITUTION: The surface of an extrusion molded cured inorganic material is coated with a layer of a cured primer composition composed of (A) 100 pts.wt. of an epoxy compound containing ≥2 epoxy groups in the molecule, (B) 1-500 pts.wt. of an organic silicon compound (containing ≥1SH group and ≥2 alkoxy groups in the molecule), (C) 5-200 pts.wt. of a titanic acid ester of formula Ti(OR)4 (R is 1-6C hydrocarbon group) and (D) an organic solvent. An inorganic coating layer composed of a cured silicon alkoxide of formula R'nSi(OR")4-n (R' is CH3 or C2H5; R" is 1-4C alkyl; (n) is 0-2) is applied to the surface of the primer layer to obtain the objective coated inorganic material.
