Abstract:
PURPOSE: To isolate a gene fragment coding for a prescribed protein by bringing a prescribed genom library into contact with an oligonucleotide under a condition to perform advantageous DNA/DNA hybridization.
CONSTITUTION: A library of a genom DNA of an organism producing a prescribed protein is formed and one or more kinds of oligonucleotide probes selected exclusively based on the amino acid sequence contained in the protein is produced. The genom library is brought into contact with an oligonucleotide under a condition to perform advantageous DNA/DNA hybridization to identify a genom DNA hybridizing to the above oligonucleotide. The genom DNA containing the DNA hybridizing to the oligonucleotide is isolated.
