Abstract:
PURPOSE:To produce the ferroelectric liquid crystal display element having a large area, high accuracy and a uniform cell gap of <=2/mum without increasing the size of the part exclusive of a display area. CONSTITUTION:A compression bonding stage is executed under the conditions of 70 to 120 deg.C, <=52 minute time and >=2.0kg/cm<2> pressure in the process for producing the ferroelectric liquid crystal display element having <=2mum distance between two sheets of electrode substrates including a stage for adhering two sheets of the electrode substrates to each other and applying a one-part type thermosetting epoxy adhesive for sealing a liquid crystal with two sheets of the electrode materials and the adhesive itself on at least either of two sheets of the electrode substrates, then superposing and aligning these electrode substrates on each other and compression bonding the substrates.
