PURPOSE: To obtain the titled fiber with silky and placid gloss, squeaky feel, deep dyeability, by spinning a thermoplastic synthetic linear polymer melt through a spinneret of special shape.
CONSTITUTION: The objective fiber can be obtained by spinning a thermoplastic synthetic linear polymer melt through such a spinneret as to satisfy the following conditions; 1, flex angle at the concave part of boomerang-shaped slit...100 to 140° 2, distance R1(mm) from the center of Y-shaped slit to the flex point at the concave part on the boomerang-shaped slit, distance R2(mm) from said center to the end of said slit, distance h(mm) from said center to the central point between each end of adjacent boomerang-shaped slits, and width n(mm) of the end part of the boomerang-shaped slit satisfy the relationships: 0.10≤R1, 0.2≤R2/R1≤0.5, 1.5R1≤h, n/R1≤0.6. A cooling air stream with a speed of ≥0.3m/sec is blown against the spun yarn at a point 3 to 50cm apart right under the spinneret, said yarn being taken at a draft of ≥80.
