Title:
PRODUCTION OF FINE GOLD PARTICLES
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH01127609
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To produce fine gold particles having a narrow particle size distribution when an alkali hydroxide is added to an aq. soln. contg. iodoaurate ions to deposit fine gold particles by adding protective colloid to the reactive soln. CONSTITUTION:About 0.6-6N soln. of an alkali hydroxide such as NaOH or KOH is added to an aq. soln. of about 8-13 pH contg. about 0.5-5 mol/l iodoaurate ions and they are brought into a reaction at about 20-70 deg.C to deposit fine gold particles. At this time, protective colloid such as gelatin or gum arabic is added to the reactive soln. Dispersed fine gold particles having a narrow particle size distribution and enabling the control of the particle size are obtd.
