Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a flame retardant resin composition improved in production efficiency without volatilizing a flame retardant in molding processing and useful as moldings, etc., by kneading a thermoplastic resin with a specific phosphoric ester compound under specified conditions.
CONSTITUTION: The method for producing a flame retardant resin composition is to feed (A) a thermoplastic resin such as a polyphenylene ether resin or the polyphenylene ether resin and a PS-based resin from the first raw material feed port, heat (B) a phosphoric ester compound of the formula [Q1 to Q4 are each a 1-6C alkyl; R1 and R2 are each methyl; R3 and R4 are each H or methyl; (n) is ≥1; n1 and n2 are each 0-2; m1 to m4 are each 0-3] at 50-120°C, feed the component (B) from the second raw material feed port by adding the liquid, knead the components (A) with (B) in an extruder having the first raw material feed port installed on the upstream side from the flow direction of the raw material and the second raw material feed port installed on the downstream side.
