Abstract:

PURPOSE: In producing the titled compound by reacting a chlorinated quinone with a fluorinating agent, to raise yield easily without adhesion of carbide, etc., by carrying out the reaction at high temperature by the use of benzonitrile under spontaneously occurring pressure.

CONSTITUTION: A chlorinated quinone of raw material is reacted with a fluorinating agent (especially preferably potassium fluoride) by the use of benzonitrile as a solvent at 190W340°C, especially at 200W280°C under spontaneously occurring pressure, to give the aimed compound. An amount of the fluorinating agent required is at least an equivalent amount based on chlorine atom replaced with fluorine atom in the chlorinated quinone of raw material, when the fluorinating agent is potassium fluoride and the raw material is 2,3-dichloro-1,4- naphthoquinone, the amount of the fluorinating agent is ≥2mol, preferably 2W 4mol based on 1mol raw material. 5W50pts.wt. raw material is used based on 100pts.wt. solvent.
