Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a formed body excellent in a performance of a welded part by performing with welding a platinum-base metal-alloy material doped with Y, Zr, Ce, etc., and deforming a preform after heat-treating and sufficiently oxidizing a base metal in an alloy in an oxidating medium so as to disperse/ strengthen with a base metal oxide.
SOLUTION: A platinum-base metal alloy plate material, in which base metals consisting of 0.1-0.2 wt.% Zr, 0.01-0.05 wt.% Y and/or 0.05-0.2 Ce are doped to an alloy consisting of platinum, Rh, Au, Ir, etc., is welded and preformed to a tube stock. This welding is preferably performed by using a metal same as a parent metal. Subsequently, the tube stock is heat-treated in an oxidating medium such as air, oxygen, water vapor at about 1000°C for a prescribed time so that the base metal in the alloy is internally oxidated to an oxidation degree of ≥75%. The tube stock is deformed into a desired shape by rolling, forging, drawing, etc., and is subjected to recrystallization annealing treatment. By this method, a platinum alloy member, in which a base metal oxide is finely dispersed to exert dispersion-strengthening and a welded part has a structure equivalent to other, is obtained.
