Abstract:
To provide a method for producing a gas barrier film having high gas barrier properties even at a high humidity.
A mixture of a polyvinyl alcohol (A) and an alkyl vinyl ether- maleic acid copolymer in the weight ratio of 97/3 to 20/80 is made into an aqueous solution adjusted to pH 2.8 to 3.7. The aqueous solution is applied to at least one side of a thermoplastic resin film and is heat-treated at ≥150°C.
