Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve qualities of glass products by uniforming and degassing molten glass before a molding process by stirring molten glass to change an occlusion gas in the molten glass into bubbles, reducing pressure and degassing.
CONSTITUTION: Molten glass G stored in a cooling tank 22 is stirred by a foaming means 12 to change an occlusion gas in the molten glass G into bubbles. Then the molten glass is sent to a deaerator 28 and treated to remove bubbles contained in the molten glass G. The degassed molten glass G is introduced to a uniforming means 16, stirred and uniformed. The uniformed glass G is molded into a given shape by a molding machine 18.
