Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enhance the production efficiency of a laminated sheet of CEM-3 constitution by improving a glass fiber base material.

CONSTITUTION: A glass fiber corresponding to 105g/m2 is applied to the surface of a glass fiber fabric to form a glass fiber layer which is, in turn, coated with a binder (water-soluble epoxy resin) to be heated and dried to produce a glass fiber base material wherein the glass fiber fabric and the glass fiber layer are integrated. This base material is impregnated and coated with epoxy resin varnish to be heated and dried to prepare a prepreg. Two prepregs are superposed one upon another so that the glass fiber layers are turned inside and subjected to pressure molding at 160°C under pressure of 40kgf/cm2 for 1hr to produce a laminated sheet of CEM-3 constitution with a thickness of 1.6mm. A glass fiber base material obtained by further superposing a glass fiber fabric on the surface of the glass fiber layer to integrate the same by a binder may be used.
