Abstract:
PURPOSE: In production process of glass by sol-gel method, to make it possible to produce glass products in high yield without causing gel to crack, by drying wet gel immediately after gelatinization under high pressure.
CONSTITUTION: In production process of glass by gelatinization of sol, drying and sintering by sol-gel method, when wet gel immediately after gelatinization is dried to give dry gel, the gel is dried in a high-pressure atmosphere at ≥1 atmospheric pressure. By drying at high pressure, the wet gel will not cause crack resulting from boiling, can be dried in a short time and glass production process can be shortened.
