Abstract:
PURPOSE: To simultaneously mass-produce plural graded glasses and improve the function of a film forming part, the optical characteristic, etc., by uniquely arranging transparent glass sheets and unique spacer jigs and using a non-film forming region as a masking material.
CONSTITUTION: Three transparent glass sheets 2 are repeatedly laminated in three stages to continuously form an integrated shade band on the surface of a specified region while controlling the width of the protrusion 5 of a jig 8 and the height of a spacer 6 with the jig 8 consisting of a leg having the spacer 6 and a fixing part having a controlling long hole as the emerging state of the protrusion 5 on a carrier 9 provided with a protrusion at four points, and the uppermost stage is masked with a covering jig 10. The carrier 9 is sent to an in-line sputtering device, gaseous N2 and gaseous O2 are introduced in 92:8 ratio the device is kept at about 2×10-3Torr, a power of about 50kW is impressed on a target, and a graded functional thin film is formed on the surface of the sheet 2 in a specified region.
