Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain stable magnetic properties by a single-cold-rolling process.

CONSTITUTION: A grain-oriented silicon steel sheet is produced by a single-cold- rolling process by using a slab of a silicon steel, having a composition containing, by weight, 0.03-0.12% C, 2.0-4.5% Si, 0.02-0.20% Mn, 0.010-0.065% Al, 0.0050-0.0150% N, and 0.010-0.040% S and/or Se, as a stock. In this manufacturing method, hot rolled plate annealing is done at 1000-1200°C, and then, rolling is performed at ≥5% draft at 900-600°C in the course of subsequent cooling and also surface decarburization of 0.005-0.025% is done in the course of the above hot rolled plate annealing. By this method, the state of AlN dispersion and the state of C precipitation can be improved.
