Abstract:
PURPOSE: To efficiently and stably produce graphitized fibers having excellent degree in suppressing generation of carbonized material accumulating in a furnace and suppressing depletion of graphite material.
CONSTITUTION: In producing graphitized fibers having ≥40×103kgf/mm2 elastic modulus by passing carbon fibers through a furnace containing an inert gas atmosphere, maximum temperature in the furnace is made to at least ≥2200°C and flow rate of the inert gas in the furnace is made to ≤0.1m/sec in a standard state.
