PURPOSE: To provide a method for producing grown tissue of Gymnemainodorum, capable of stable supply independently of weather, etc.

CONSTITUTION: This method for producing grown tissue of Gymnemainocorum comprises cutting an explant cut from Gymnemainodorum into small pieces, culturing the resultant small piece on a 2,4-D-containing agar-agar culture medium in the light so as to induce a callus, culturing the resultant induced callus in a liquid or solid culture medium containing gum arabic and 2,4-D and subsequently growing it by light culture.
