Abstract:
PURPOSE:To form a uniform rugged plating layer having excellent adhesiveness and to produce a heat transfer member having an increased surface area by immersing a pair of auxiliary electrodes into a plating liquid and subjecting the plating liquid to preliminary electrolysis by using the 2nd electric circuit. CONSTITUTION:The auxiliary electrodes 10a, 10b are immersed in a plating cell 7 and current of prescribed current density is conducted from the auxiliary power source 11 of the 2nd electric circuit thereto to preliminarily electrolyze the plating liquid 9. The plating liquid 9 is circulated in the heat transfer member 2' by combining a circulation pump 13 and a gap 12. An anode bar 15 connected to a main power source 14 forming the 1st electric circuit, a connecting terminal 16 to be applied with the electric charge reverse from the electric charge of the anode bar 15 and a masking member 17 are fixed to the cap 12. The speed at which the plating liquid 9 flows on the inside surface of the heat transfer member 2' is regulated by the pump 13 and the current value to be applied to the auxiliary electrodes 10a, 10b is set at about 10mA/cm<2>. Since the plating liquid 9 contains a polyoxyethylene surface active agent and low concn. of chloride ions, the plating layer is not formed to a uniform thickness and is formed to ruggedness.
