To produce a heavy-duty and anticorrosive PC strand capable of filling an anticorrosive agent even in the interior and covering the surface or even sharp V-shaped grooves between mutual wires without untwisting the strand by filling a liquid anticorrosive agent in a die having a specific structure and passing a PC strand therethrough.
A liquid anticorrosive agent 103 is filled in a die having a constriction of a diameter reduced to a cross section approximating that of a PC strand 100 such as that at ≥1.025 wire diameter ratio of a center wire 101 to side wires 102 and the PC strand 100 is then passed therethrough to afford a heavy-duty PC strand. Furthermore, the heavy-duty PC strand is produced by using an apparatus for producing the heavy-duty PC strand equipped with the die composed of a cylindrical or a truncated conical approach at 10° taper angle, an outlet having a cross-sectional shape approximating that of the PC strand 100 and a constriction part for connecting the approach to the outlet.
