Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain the title solvent having a low mixed aniline point, excellent solubility and a small amount of evaporation residue at a low cost by reforming kerosine fraction or raffinate to give an oil and hydrogenating the oil in the presence of a hydrogenating catalyst.
CONSTITUTION: A kerosine fraction or raffinate obtained by recovering n- paraffin from the fraction is reformed to a reformed oil, which is hydrogenated in the presence of a hydrogenating catalyst comprising preferably a palladium- based or platinum-based catalyst. Then a fraction having 185-215°C boiling point range or a fraction having 205-245°C boiling point is separated by distillation and recovered.
