PURPOSE: To obtain a steel sheet having good brightness by rolling the steel sheet by dull rolls having specific surface roughness in the final stand of cold rolling and the stand before said stand and annealing the steel sheet, then subjecting the sheet to temper rolling by bright rolls having specific surface roughness.
CONSTITUTION: The high brightness cold rolled steel sheet is obtd. by subjecting the hot rolled steel sheet after pickling to cold rolling, annealing and temper rolling. The steel sheet is rolled by the dull rolls having 1.0W2.6μRa surface roughness in either of the final stand of the cold rolling and the stand before said stand. The brightness of the cold rolled steel sheet is thereby greatly improved without increasing the production cost.
