Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a silicon steel sheet extremely low in core loss by containing an element of a specified composition in a steel slab of a specified composition, hot-rolling at a specified temp./time, conducting initial annealing of a subsequent cold rolling process at a specified annealing temp./temp. rise rate and warm rolling at a specified temp. in a final cold rolling.
SOLUTION: To a steel slab, which contains, by weight, 0.03-0.095% C, 1.5-7.0% Si, 0.03-2.50% Mn, 0.003-0.040% independently or in sum S or Se, 0.0010-0.0070% B, 0.005-0.500% Ge and 30-120 wt.ppm N are added, further Al in the impurity is regulated to ≤0.015% and V to ≤0.010%. A hot rolling time is set to 50-220 sec and a hot rolling completion temp. to ≥850°C. The steel is subjected to rapid cooling at a cooling rate of ≥30°C/sec after hot rolling completion, is winded at a temp. of ≤700°C. In initial annealing of the cold rolling process, a temp. rise rate above 500°C is set to ≥5°C/sec, an annealing temp. is set to 1,000-1,150°C. The final cold rolling is conducted at a draft of 80-95% and at a max temp. between rolling passes of 150-350°C.
