Abstract:
PURPOSE: To produce a high strength galvanized steel wire in which the generation of delamination is prevented by subjecting a steel wire rod having a specified compsn. to patenting treatment and wire drawing and thereafter galvanizing the same.
CONSTITUTION: A wire rod having a compsn. contg., by weight, 0.8 to 1.1% C, 0.2 to 1.0% Mn, 0.5 to 2.0% Si and 0.005 to 0.1% Al, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities is subjected to patenting treatment and is thereafter subjected to wire drawing by using a die in which the approach angle is regulated to 8 to 12° and the bearing length is regulated to 0.2 to 0.5D (D; die diameter). Successively, the steel wire is passed through plural rolls at 15 to 30° bending angle while being applied with tension of 5 to 50% of the tensile fracture loads of the steel wire. After that, galvanizing is executed. Or it is subjected to bluing at ≥480°C so as to satisfy T(20+log t)>13000 (T; bluing absolute temp. and t; bluing time) and is subjected to galvanizing.
