Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the method enabling to produce higher secondary alcohol in a high yield by the direct hydration of a higher α-ilefin.
CONSTITUTION: The method for producing higher secondary α-olefin by the direct hydration of a high α-oilefin in charcterized by suspending the higher α-olefin in an equious solution containing ≥50wt.% of a heterpolyacid as a catalyst and subjecting the higher α-olefin to a direct hydration reaction.
