Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a homoallylamine in high yield by reaction in an aqueous medium without using an organic solvent.
SOLUTION: An aldehyde compound represented by formula II: R1CHO (R1 denotes a hydrocarbon group or a heterocyclic group which may have a functional group) is reacted with an amine compound represented by formula III: R2NH2 (R2 denotes a hydrocarbon group or a heterocyclic group which may have a functional group) and an allylating reagent in the presence of a rare earth Lewis acid catalyst and a surfactant in an aqueous medium in order to produce homoallylamines represented by formula I (R1 and R2 denote each the same as described above).
