Abstract:
To provide a method for efficiently producing a hose-reinforcing material seldom causing RFL resin layer debonding and further high in adhesiveness of the RFL resin layer to the rubber layer, and to obtain such a hose- reinforcing fibrous material excellent in various performances.
This method for producing a hose-reinforcing material comprises the following steps: a fiber bundle is provided with a resorcinol/formalin/latex(RFL) treatment liquid ≤20 wt.% in solid concentration, the total pickup of the liquid on the fiber bundle is brought to ≤40 wt.%, and subsequently the resultant fiber bundle is dried under a tension of ≤0.2 g/d.
