Abstract:

To provide a production method of hydraulic barium aluminate anhydrate capable of producing at above 300°C under normal pressure.

The barium aluminate is obtained by heating barium aluminate hydroxide of formula Ba(AlO(OH)2)2 which is obtained by carrying out the reaction of aluminum metal or aluminum hydroxide as the aluminum source and barium hydroxide as barium source in solution at below 100°C under normal pressure, at above 300°C. The barium aluminate anhydrate having hydraulic properties is capably produced under normal pressure at above 300°C. This process synthesizing hydraulic barium aluminate anhydrate is highly economic because heating above 800°C is not required and capably produced in the reaction under normal pressure.
