Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a magnesium phosphide or aluminum phosphide preparation capable of controlling pests in a shortened fumigation time without causing chemical injury in an object crop. SOLUTION: This insecticide as a magnesium phosphide or aluminum phosphide preparation having insecticide properties without addition of ammonium carbamate is obtained by incorporating magnesium phosphide or aluminum phosphide with a powder mixture composed of (a) 25-80wt.% silicon oxide, (b) 10-30wt.% magnesium oxide, (c) 1-20wt.% calcium oxide, (d) 1-10wt.% ferric oxide and (e) 2-40wt.% aluminum oxide, and rigid paraffin.
