CONSTITUTION: The image receiving material to be used for the image forming method to apply the image on the image receiving material contg. the particulate thermoplastic compd. by a pressure transfer is formed by heating a coating liquid for the image receiving material contg. the dispersion of the particulate thermoplastic compd. at the temp. above the glass transition point of the particulate thermoplastic compd. to form the flocs of the particulate thermoplastic compd. having ≥2.5 times of an average number grain size, then applying this liquid on a base. The heating is executed in the state of the completed coating liquid or the process of preparing the coating liquid in such a case. More specifically, the heating may be executed in any state of the dispersion state of the particulate thermoplastic compd., the state of adding the binder to the dispersion of the particulate thermoplastic compd., the state of adding other added substances and the state of the completed coating liquid, etc.
