To produce or improve a pantothenic acid-producing microorganism by enhancing the nucleic acid sequence coding ketopantoate reductase alone or in mutual combination and, when necessary, enhancing the nucleic acid sequence of ilv C gene.
In order to produce pantothenic acid used in cosmetics, medicines, foods, feeds or the like, the objective pantothenic acid-producing microorganism is produced or improved by enhancing the nucleotide sequence coding ketopantoate reductase, particularly the nucleotide sequence of pan E-gene, alone or in mutual combination, and additionally when necessary, enhancing the nucleotide sequence of ilv C-gene, particularly enhancing by means of inserting genes in microorganisms or the copy number of nucleotide sequences into the plasmid vector containing these genes or nucleotide sequences to excessively express.
