Abstract:

PURPOSE: To produce inorg. foamed granules widely usable as lightweight aggregate, fertilizer, a filler for a detergent or paint, an adsorbent, a soil conditioner, etc., by heating at a relatively low temp. by utilizing residue produced by partial oxidation of coal and discarded until now.

CONSTITUTION: Amorphous granules of 0.15-20mm size such as residual granules contg. a heating component obtd. by partial oxidation of coal are foamed and expanded by heating at ≥600°C to produce inorg. foamed granules having 0.01-0.6kg/l weight per unit volume, 0.5-50mm particle size and internal pores.
