To provide a method for manufacturing an inorganic plate for use as a building material such as an outside wall which restrains the generation of delamination without sacrificing moldability, patterning performance and productivity.
A slurry 13 for a base is fed on a paper making belt 5. Next, the surface of the base slurry 13 is leveled and the base slurry 13 is sucked and dehydrated for preparation of a base mat 17. A slurry 14 for a skin layer is sprayed over the base mat 17 to prepare a laminated mat 16. Thereafter, the laminated mat 16 is press molded and embossed in the surface thereof at the same time while being sucked and dehydrated vertically. Then, the skin layer slurry 14 and the base mat 17, 17 are mixed together in the vicinity of the interface therebetween, which improves the behavior thereof to thereby enhance the integrity of the two materials. In addition, suction and dehydration, press molding and embossing of the laminated mat 16 can be performed simultaneously in a parallel fashion, and this enhances the moldability, patterning performance and productivity of inorganic plates.
