Abstract:

PURPOSE: Polyinosic acid and polycytidylic acid are heated and immobilized on a support to prepare an inducer that permits easy separation of interferon and the inducer is used to produce a large amount of interferons from lymphocytes and culture cells in high yield.

CONSTITUTION: An equimolar mixture of polyinosic acid and polycytidylic acid is heated at about 60W90°C for about 30W60min, then gradually cooled down to room temperature, then immobilized on a support to prepare an inducer. Then, the inducer is brought into contact with lymphocytes or culture cells suspended in a prescribed medium and they are kept at a specific temperature and the interferons formed are isolated.
