PURPOSE: To provide a method for readily producing an inverted conical edible cup (named as cone) excellent in mouth feeling, flavor and moisture resistance.
CONSTITUTION: This is related to a method for producing an inverted conical edible cup by forming a raw material batter using wheat flour as the main component together with water, sandwiching the raw material batter between both male and female molds and baking it. In this production method, a general pie dough-like dough 6 prepared by mixing wheat flour with solid fats and oils and not having fluidity is formed into an inverted conical shape similar to the shape of the bottom part of the female mold 1 in advance. This formed material is put in a preheated female mold 1 and a preheated male mold 3 is then inserted into the female mold 1 at once. Both the molds are engaged with each other and the dough 6 is baked.
