PURPOSE: To uniformly generate ion, to enhance electric discharge efficiency and to facilitate the production of a long-sized electrostatic recording head by decomposing the org. matter in the paste applied on a substrate, thereby forming induction (or electric discharge) electrodes.

CONSTITUTION: The conductive paste 11 which is fluid prepd. to the paste form contg. an org. solvent and glass frit for joining or consisting of an org. metal and the org. solvent is applied on one one side surface of an insulating substrate 2. Further, only the org. matter is decomposed from this conductive paste 11 and the film of the conductive material is formed after application of the conductive paste 11. In succession, the conductive material film is subjected to patterning by, for example, photolithography/etching to form the plural induction electrodes 3. The paste 11 consisting of the mixture contg. the metallic powder and the org. solvent or the mixture contg. the org. metal and the org. solvent is applied on the substrate 2 and thereafter, the org. matter in the paste 11 is decomposed to form at least either of the induction electrodes 3 and the discharge electrodes 5 in such a manner.
