Abstract:
To provide a method by which side reactions and production of high- boiling by-products are suppressed and isocyanates are stably obtained in high yield over a long period when thermally decomposing carbamic esters.
The thermal decomposition is carried out in the presence of one or more kinds of compounds selected from thioureas, sulfides and thiazoles as a stabilizer in a method for thermally decomposing carbamic esters and producing the corresponding isocyanates.
