PURPOSE: To obtain a recording sheet excellent in recording characteristics and feed properties, in a keeping method for enclosing a sheet material in a packing material containing a humidity impermeable member to hermetically seal the same, by performing at least a process from the drying of the sheet material to the enclosing and hermetical sealing thereof in a specific low humidity atmosphere.
CONSTITUTION: After a coating soln. is applied to at least one surface of a base material, the coated base material is dried to form a coating layer and the obtained sheet material is cut into paper sheets each having a desired size and at least one or more sheet is enclosed in a packing material having a humidity impermeable member in a flat state to be hermetically sealed. In this recording sheet keeping method, at least the process from the drying of the recording sheet to the enclosing and hermetical sealing thereof is performed under an atmosphere not exceeding at least 50%RH. At least one surface of the recording sheet has a surface electric resistance value of 109-1011Ω/cm2 and surface smoothness of 5-250sec and the base material is transparent and sets the linear transmissivity of the recording sheet itself to 30% or more.
