PURPOSE: The reaction between ammonia, hydrogen peroxide and a specific ketone is conducted in the presence of a phosphorus compound to produce the titled compound in a short time in high yield with industrial advantage which is used as a synthetic intermediate of hydrazine, a starting material of deoxidants.
CONSTITUTION: The reaction between ammonia, hydrogen peroxide and a ketone of formula I (R1 is 1W8C alkyl, phenyl; R2 is 1W8C alkyl; R1 and R2 may form 4W8C alkylene by incorporating to each other) such as acetone is effected in the presence of a phosphorus compound at -20°CW+80°C to produce the objective compound of formula II. A preferable example of the phosphorus compound is a compound of P1W11O0W22H0W6N0W2 such as phosphorus pentoxide, of P1W4O0W4H0W2 X1W10 (X is halogen) such as phosphorus pentachloride, of fomula III (X' is halogen; n is 3W20) or of formula IV (Y is HX, PX5).
