Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve the position precision by controlling the particle size of a sealing agent at the time of screen printing and at the time of combining substrate glasses in accordance with temperature.

CONSTITUTION: An adhesive hardened by ultraviolet rays which is preliminarily put in a thermostatic bath at 50°C to have a low viscosity is coated on a glass substrate, which is subjected to the orientating treatment, as the sealing agent by screen printing. In this case, a hot air blower is attached above a screen printer, and hot air is blown so that the temperature of the adhesive is 40W55°C to enable screen printing. The printed glass substrate is left at a room temperature (22W27°C) until the adhesive has a high viscosity. Next, spacers are preliminarily dispersed on a counter glass substrate, and this substrate is combined with said printed glass substrate, and a pressure is applied to stick substrates to each other after position of glass substrates are confirmed, and ultraviolet rays are projected from above either substrate to harden the sealing agent. Thus, the position precision is improved.
