Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a process for production which hardly generates unequalness in the spacings between substrates by compression bonding an anisotropically conductive adhesive contg. conductive spacers into a recessed notch of an adhesive for sealing which does not contain the conductive spacers.
CONSTITUTION: The adhesive 1 for sealing which does not contain the conductive spacers is formed to a shape notched to a recessed shape in a conductive juncture and the anisotropically conductive adhesive 2 contg. the conductive spacers is applied and compression bonded to this notched part. The notching width W2 of the adhesive 1 for sealing notched to the recessed shape of the conductive juncture is preferably set at 0.2W1≤W2≤0.8W1 to the width W1 of the adhesive 1 for sealing at the time of the application. As a result, the anisotropically conductive adhesive 2 spread well to the prescribed position and hardly interferes with the spread of the adhesive 1 for sealing and, therefore, the adhesive 1 for sealing spreads well and eventually, the unequal spacing between the substrates, meandering of the seal and the degradation in the reliability of the conductive juncture hardly arise.
