PURPOSE: To prevent the crack of substrates and to enable mass production by providing a transparent conductive film and a film made of the same material as the material of an oriented org. film on the substrate surface on the side where the substrate is not parted in the position facing the liquid crystal injection hole provided by notching part of a sealing material and parting and removing the sealing part of the injection hole.
CONSTITUTION: The transparent conductive film 8 and the film 9 made of the same material as the material of the oriented org. film are formed to the surface position of the substrate 1 or 1' on the side where the substrate is not parted in the position facing the liquid crystal injection hole fromed by notching part of the sealing material 2 disposed between two sheets of the substrates 1 and 1' and the sealing part forming the liquid crystal injection hole is parted and removed. The sealing material 2 consisting of, for example, an epoxy resin, etc. has relatively weak adhesive strength to the transparent conductive film and the oriented org. film consisting of polyimide, etc. The material 2 is thus easily removed from the glass substrates 1, 1' on the side where the substrates are not parted and removed in the injection hole part 2a of the material 2 by parting the substrates along parting lines 7.
