Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To industrially stably produce a silicon steel sheet small in variation in magnetic properties, at the time of producing a grain oriented silicon steel sheet, by specifying the concn. of an aq. soln. of NaOH removing an etching mask, the soln. temp. thereof and its immersing time into this soln.
SOLUTION: A slab for a grain oriented silicon steel sheet contg. 2.0 to 4.0wt.% Si is subjected to hot rolling and is subjected to cold rolling for one time or ≥ two times including process annealing to regulate its sheet thickness to a final one. Next, an etching mask is selectively formed on the surface of the steel sheet, which is subjected to electrolytic etching treatment to form linear or dotted grooves on the surface of the steel sheet, thereafter, the etching mask is removed, and decarburizing annealing and final finish annealing are executed to produce a grain oriented silicon steel sheet. At this time, the concn. of an aq. soln. of NaOH used for the removal of the etching mask is regulated to 10 to 35wt.%, the soln. temp. thereof is regulated to 50 to 70°C, and the immersing time of the steel sheet into the aq. soln. of NaOH is regulated to ≥15sec. In this way, the low core loss grain oriented silicon steel sheet having uniform magnetic properties over the whole body of a coil can be obtd.
