Title:
PRODUCTION OF LOW-DENSITY SOAP
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH10195494
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a method for producing a low-density soap having a smooth outer surface and desired shape, which can prevent any voids and recesses from developing in a solidified state, by solidifying melted soap containing bubbles in a specific cavity of a molded.

This method is to solidify melted soap containing bubbles in a specific cavity of a mold, wherein, an airtightly closed cavity is used as the cavity to provide the aimed low-density soap having <1 apparent specific gravity. Preferably, as the mold, a rigid mold is used so as not to be deformed in the solidifying step, the melted soap is injected into an injection passage between an inlet port of the melted soap and the cavity as well as into the cavity, the melted soap in the injection passage is pressed into the cavity by use of a plug for plugging the inlet port, the cavity is closed airtightly while the melted soap inside the cavity is pressurized, and subsequently the melted soap is solidified in the cavity.
