Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the process for production of the magneto-optical recording medium which lessens the reflectivity distribution in its circumferential direction.
CONSTITUTION: This process for production of the magneto-optical recording medium by using a plastic substrate consists in vacuum evacuating the inside of a vacuum chamber in which the substrate is put just before film formation until the vacuum degree therein attains ≤3.5×10-7Torr, then forming a recording film in such film forming chamber and confining the reflectivity distribution thereof to ≤2%.
