Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent a crack from being generated on the film of base glaze by glazing specified base glaze and thereafter glazing stippled glaze so that the stippled glaze is overlapped on the base glaze and granularly scattered and then simultaneously burning both glazes.
CONSTITUTION: Base glaze 3 is prepared by mixing ≤7 pts.wt. clay mineral consisting of gairome clay and bentonite, proper quantity of KCl, an organic paste agent and water with 100 pts.wt. frit A having composition shown in a table 1. On the other hand, stippled glaze 4 is prepared by mixing suitable quantity of gairome clay, bentonite, KCl and water with frit B having composition shown in a table II. Then, a ground coat 2 is applied to an enamel substrate 1 and thereafter base glaze 3 is glazed, heated and dried to form a base glaze film having ≤65% chipping area in cross-cutting test of 2 mm pitch. The base glaze film is coated with stippled glue l, so as to granularly scattered thereon to produce a glazed article. Thereafter, both glazes are simultaneously burned at the prescribed temperature. Thereby, a matting enamel product having appearance close to the pattern of a natural rock is obtained.
