PURPOSE: To improve production efficiency by disposing a mixture composed of wear resistant metallic powder and synthetic resin binder adjacently to the molding part of the body of sand mold ten casting the body and at the same time sintering the metallic powder.
CONSTITUTION: The sinterable metallic powder having wear resistance is formed by adequately mixing self-fluxing alloy powder such as Ni and wear resistant high melting metallic powder such as W, Mo. The sheet-like mixture (m) is formed by further adding the synthetic resin binder to said powder. WThe sheet-like mixture (m) is adhered to the desired part such as guide rail of a pattern M made of expandable polystyrene having the same shape as the shape of the body 1 and the pattern M is embedded into the sand mold S. The pattern M is thermally decomposed and the body 2 is cast when the molten metal is poured through a sprue Sp. A sintered metallic body 3 is at the same time welded to the body 2 by liquid phase sintering. Since casting and sintering are executed by one stage, the production efficiency is improved.
