Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a whitener containing a melanization inhibitory substance, by propagating established cells derived from a warm-blooded animal and crushing the resultant cells.

CONSTITUTION: Cells (established cells), derived from a warm-blooded animal and capable of sustaining passage are propagated on the outside of living bodies or the cells are propagated while feeding humor of the warm-blooded animal other than humans. The resultant cells are then crushed and a melanization inhibitory substance capable of exhibiting inhibitory activity against melanization and dopa reaction in pigment cells substantially without inhibiting enzymic activity of tyrosinase is collected from the obtained crushed substance.
