Title:
PRODUCTION OF METAL ALKOXIDE DERIVATIVE SOLUTION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6322039
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: A carboxylate salt of a metal selected from Sn, Al, Zr and Sb is dissolved in an alcohol and allowed to react in the presence of ammonia by adding mono-, di- or triethanolamine whereby the title stabilized solution is obtained.

CONSTITUTION: A carboxylate salt (of 1W4C, preferably acetate) of a metal selected from the group consisting of Sn, Al, Zr and Sb is dissolved or dispersed in an alcohol of 1W4C, combined with mono-, di- or triethanolamine to effect the reactions in the presence of ammonia. The resultant solution is treated with an ion-exchange resin to give the objective solution of high purity and improved stability. The reaction using an amine in the presence of ammonia enables the formation of stabilized solution without formation of gel substance. The solution is hydrolyzed to give fine particles of hydroxide, hydrate or oxide of the metal in high purity.
