Abstract:
To solve the problem of adhesion of preforms to each other and resultant difficulty of separation from each other, occurring at the time when a metal is allowed to penetrate into plural preforms in laminated state.
The metal - ceramics composite can be produced by forming preforms by the use of ceramic fibers or grains as reinforcement and then allowing a metal as a base material to penetrate into the preforms. At this time, the penetration of the metal is performed by forming plural preforms, laminating the plural preforms while spreading a power spread between them, and then allowing an alloy composed essentially of aluminum into the plural preforms at 700 to 1000°C.
