PURPOSE: To provide a simple method for producing metal powder particles and to provide a method for producing metal powder by which metal powder having an advantageous particle shape can be formed by a simple preliminary treatment before at least before partial melting at a high temp.
CONSTITUTION: In the method for producing metal powder from metal ions in the liq. phase of the raw material to be used, this is the method for producing the metal powder which includes a stage (a) in which the liq. phase contg. metal ions is reduced with hydrogen at a increased pressure an raised temp. to produce porous, sponge-like metal powder and a stage (b) in which the obtd. porous, sponge-like metal powder is subjected to high temp. treatment to increase the characteristics of the metal powder.
